Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. She was a dancer and singer in the early days of Broadway roles include Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. In You Can't Take It With You, she won the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashley, Tony Award winning actor and actress has worked alongside directors and actors on the stage and on screen throughout all her life. Ashford is scheduled to appear next alongside Kumail Nannjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford currently is working in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. This is a Hulu Original and will be streamed through Disney DTC. Ashford comes back to Broadway in March 2023, with the role of Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production will be held in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The production is directed by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which brought you Hamilton. Ashford most recently starred Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment which is based on the crisis in America that picked up Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters in the nation's very first impeachment hearings in more than 100 years. Ashford starred for two seasons in CBS hit comedy B Positive. It was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also featured Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen. Her additional Broadway credits include Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and her first role as Lauren in Kinky Boots a performance for that she won a Tony Award nomination. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and raised in Denver and now lives traveling between Los Angeles & New York.
